God & You

Is It... Now?

[Accuracy]

An essential ingredient of obedience...

... with an overlooked capacity for the extraordinary. Christians have developed an extremely sophisticated catalogue of excuses, explanations (see Saul in 1Sam 14) for inaccuracy, compromises and lukewarmness. Not being truly aware that it’s the criteria to be thrown up and out of God’s mouth (Rev 3). Accuracy positions you for sharpness, power and an extraordinary outbreak of Kingdom-resources. Ecclesiastes speaks about accuracy as enhancing your efforts and make them effectfull. Without accuracy your efforts might be effectless or very destructive.

[Addition]

... without subtraction takes you into a spiritual mine-field.

We want blessings without the Blesser. We want the gifts more than the Giver. As we choose and develop this lifestyle only addition takes place. But the corpses and skeletons that we ignore, neglect or even refuse Him to remove, will sooner or later come or fall out of the closet... normally at the least expected or at the worst moment. Certain unsettled issues are so infected that they can explode in our faces like landmines at any moment.
As our lives are raised, as the church is built whatever weak or unright –sin undealt with or wrong attitudes and patterns, secret issues- is kept inside the foundation will send cracks through the whole building at one time or an other, and put its existence and inhabitants at risk.

[Attraction]

One of the most powerful dynamics of the New Covenant... if not the most powerful.

You could call it divine magnetism... without messing up with stupid New Age stuff. God created magnetism from the beginning. Beautiful things are attractive, people with stature attract others, money can attract people. It’s obvious that not all attraction is a positive move. But the things of God attract people hungry for truth, for perspective, for true greatness and meaning. As God moved among the early christians a crowd of appr 3000 people joined them immediately. Contemporary churches depraved of divine attraction are using modern gimmicks for hunting victims too weak not to surrender. Jesus said about attraction: "No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws him..." Other relevant scriptures: Joh 6,37 10,29 12,32 and 17,6

[Charismanic]

It is the soulish perversion of Holy Spirit dimensions (charismatic).

After the God-initiated charismatic movement had peaked because of reluctance and opposition to let this fresh move of the Holy Spirit develop and upgrade the church, it became contaminated, derouted and deceived by soulish vira clothed in religious outfit and terminology to uphold divine credibility. Emotions ruled both in worship, in the use of spiritual gifts as well as in relationships and in leadership. This soulish rebellion against spirit-control opened the door for man –not God- on the throne.

[Clarity]

... is a fruit of the move of God in a believer’s life releasing a revelational flow of truth.

Old Covenant prophets were called seers. A clear sight or vision is one of the consequences of being a prophetic person or church. Confusion creates space for mixture in thoughts and inaccuracy in decisions. Clarity is necessary to avoid both and if necessary realign.

[Confusion]

... is the evidence of a lack of revelational flow.

This is the condition I hate the most. As a temporary state of mind due to transition it’s acceptable... as a permanent condition it’s a disaster. Confusion is not cute, it’s dangerous. Confusion is not an excuse, as little as ignorance. There can be 3 reasons for confusion: the inability to receive revelation, the lack of action on previous revelation, and the mixture in our thought-patterns resulting in immature response. Choose and chase their opposite: clarity.

[Daily new revelation]

Who said we need it?

What we really need is 3 or 4 revelations a year. Why?

  • revelation is a seed which needs to be watered in order to grow, get rooted, become a plant, then a tree able to bear a lot of fruits. This awesome life-process will never take place unless we let it happen.
  • it’s impossible to get to the core of the revelation if we don’t take time to work with it and let God speak more
  • it’s impossible to implement it as a new revelation will hit you tomorrow and the day after… and the day after… and the day after…
  • an unrooted, undeveloped, unimplemented and unfruitful revelation is useless
  • it’s not only useless but dangerous as ”undone words” make us hearers of the Word in stead of doers of the Word, and will ultimately lead us into personal deceit... which is lethal

For this reasons a new sermon on a new topic every Sunday will produce a passive, unrooted and vulnerable, under-developed and weak, barren and futureless church.

[DHIMMITUDE (peace of Jihad)]

It is the condition of subjection with protection of non-Muslims in their own countries:

  • subjection because the infidels submit to the Islamic law which expropriates them.
  • protection because this same law protects them from Jihad and guarantees limited rights under a discrimination which they must accept or face forced conversion, slavery or death.

Therefore dhimmitude is the direct outcome of Jihad. Those who create obstacles for the propagation of Islam and refuse to submit to conversion or Islamic world governance are responsible for the wars that follow. Infidels are to blame.

The culture of dhimmitude was characterized by surrender and passive submission imposed by leaders who had been won over to the service of Islam by ambition and financial interests. Take note: Europe is placed in the category of "lands of temporary truce" by Osama bin Laden.

[”How are you doing?”]

... is a totally irrelevant question!

The relevant question is: ”Where are you going?” or ”Are you going anywhere?” Some people do well but are going nowhere. Others walk through tough times and it seems that the yare doing bad. But it couldn’t be more wrong… because they are growing, changing, moving toward destiny.

[Ideas and inspiration]

They are man-made and man-elevating products of the mind.
“The christian church is drowning in a flood of human ideas and programs to bring ”God’s dreams” to pass. Impatient to impress, we preach on television each week, and our radio-programs air three times a day. We knock on every door in town, run full-page advertisements in the newspaper, and our full-color billboards blanket every major highway.
An endless parade of guest preachers and singers compete for our pulpits and the chance to entertain bloated, infantile believers with an acquired taste for shallow, uncommitted christianity. Meanwhile, millions are dying of spiritual hunger and thrist outside our bannered walls.
We promote popular spirituality and synthetic sincerity to the point where our members dance gaily from one congregation to the next, nibbing daintily at the last religious smorgasbord of unanointed presentations and powerless pageantry.
Somehow, we’re missing the mark.”
(Mark Hanby)

[Infidels]

The world of infidels is considered as one entity, called the region of war until -through Jihad- it comes under Islamic rule. The hostilities between the region of Islam and the region of war must continue as long as unbelief exists. There are 3 categories of infidels:

- those who oppose the Islamic call with arms. The warfare is mandatory until Islam's supremacy is recognized.

- those who belong to the countries of truce. Here there is a situation of respite, temporary truce.

- those who have surrendered to Islamic domination exchanging their land for peace... they become dhimmis.

[It’s because]

This is one of the most used and most childish explanation or excuse.

Primarly used when God or an authority-person challenge your integrity, obedience or test your accountability. Adam is the 1st example: "The woman you put here with me - she gave me some fruit from the tree, and I ate it." By saying this he generated a track and a pattern for selfrighteous believers and childish men/husbands/fathers.

[JIHAD]

- Jihad is a formal set of rules to govern relationships between Muslims and non-Muslims based upon Islamic conquests, practices, theology and jurisprudence.

- Jihad is defined by Muslim theologians as a collective religious duty binding the entire Muslim community and each individual. The enemies are those who oppose the establishment of Islamic law or its spread, vision or sovereignty over their lands.

This phenomenon is a major trend in the 56 states of the Organisation of Islamic Conference (OIC) and westerners should have the moral courage to acknowledge its reality as it is central to Islamic religion, history and civilization. It has not been fundamentally questioned or changed since the founders of Islamic jurisprudence established it in the 8th and 9th centuries. Reforming trends in Islam remain marginal.

Although the call to Jihad is often pronounced in Europe, few westerners have understood what it really means. And the public is mislead by the attempt to create a moral equivalence between Christianity and Islam by using the Crusades. The truth is that Jihad as an ideology and praxis was active 4 centuries before the Crusades.

[Prophetic]

It is one of the 5 supernatural dimensions of Christ’s ministry on earth.

For the church of God to become a Spirit-building carrying the power of the Kingdom, her foundation must be built on primarly the apostolic and prophetic. Because of ignorance or fear we have built on the pastoral, doctrinal and evangelistic.
Nevertheless the prophetic is geared to bring people on a track which will take them to their destiny in God. It has the capacity to fuel and feed them (as they walk) with encouragement, correction, discernment and new resources. Prophets are master-builders as they receive fresh and progressive revelation about destiny and the road toward fulfillment. As well as right priorities and accurate chronologies. And people can align in a simple way and together become a true and well-founded Kingdom-church affecting contemporary society. They coordinate with the pastors, teachers and evangelists to build the church of God. They connect and partner with apostles to establish Kingdom-networks.

[Protection]

... is necessary!

We have heard a lot about protecting the church from controlling and dictatorial leaders. It’s half of the story. Leaders must be protected too! From people who don’t want to change or grow, infantile leaders and generally speaking people with personal agendas... those people are never satisfied, they are rainless clouds and suck life and energy out of leaders.

[Small]

It might not be beautiful and complete but it might become the start of an adventure with God leading to major future successes.

It’s not about bigness but greatness. Small is the new big. Jesus had 12 people for 3 years. We struggle to raise 3 in 12 years. The upper-room in Jerusalem was filled with 120 persons to whom God sent 3000 others. Today it might be a challenge for 3000 christians to care and train 120.
Have you ever wondered how 3 persons can fly an Airbus 380 with over 300 passengers? Or how can a parliament of few hundreds persons lead a whole nation... or a government of even fewer persons lead the same nation? As it once was said to pastors: if you have 10, make the 10 strong; if you have 100 make the 100 strong, if you have 1000, make the 1000 strong!

[Soulishness]

... is the disorder of a soul not aligned and under the rule and life-giving role of the spirit.

Soulishness is the trojan horse of our lives and of the church.

[TRUCE]

There are 2 possible motivations for truce:

  • Muslims are too weak to win the war
  • the infidels agree to pay a tribute to the Muslim ruler to obtain the cessation of hostilities.
