The peace process initiated on December 24th 2001 after a bloody 19 years civil war was by turns interrupted and taken up again during the last few years. The country has again and again been shaken by tragic events: suicide bombs in 2003, tsunami in 2004, the murder of the minister for foreign affairs in 2005 as well as butchery both here and there.
However, it is not a time for fear, intimidation or passivity. On the contrary, it is time to raise believers and build churches according to New Testament patterns.
JosephNetwork Lanka had a good time in 2004 with growth and increasing response. More people came, the earnestness grew and new churches sent for the ministry. JosephNetwork Lanka was established as an organisation and was against all odds approved by the authorities at record speed.
God has also provided for a base situated in a peaceful and exclusive neighbourhood in Kandy. There the teaching takes place and the material is spread from the office to believers and pastors throughout the country.
A pastors- and leaders conference takes place every year in September. First time was in 2005 and next conference will as an exception take place in October.
Apostolic Building Courses (ABC) will continue to take place every year in January.
JosephNetwork Lanka is also continuously involved in helping pastors and believers developing strong congregations.
