Breakthrough prayer

Every monthly first week the church meets to pray one hour every night, Monday to Friday. We have done that for app. one year after years where we fasted from corporate prayer. Prayer has been perverted by religion, as other Christian "disciplines" has. The way Christians pray (closed eyes, religious faces and terminology, folded hands etc. etc.) is often very religous. We would never speak like that to a friend, a colleague or a family member. Why do we do it when we talk with God who is our father? There is no reason; therefore stop doing it! Be natural, be simple and free!
The last months God has put on our hearts to take a stand when it comes to healing, and we will from time to time have a week of strong prayer and ministry to sick people.

Good news from Lucian Micliuc

As you know from previous Updates, Lucian had to go through a series of brain-surgery and for that they needed a lot of money. After working on finding private sponsors it turned out that the Romanian state would cover it all.
On my way home from Romania I stopped in Budapest and was there the day before the 1st surgery had to take place. Everything went well, Stefi writes. Thanks for all support. Next surgery has already taken place and it went perfect too!
Keep praying!
Decisive times in Sri Lanka

While I was in Sri Lanka recently, a pastor of 37 years was murdered by gunmen. The condition of his wife is still critical, a doctor told me. One week later a bomb exploded in a bus 200 metres away from my hotel in the southern part of Colombo and 18 were injured. It's time for a true church to rise and shine in times of national darkness.
Did you know that since the death of Christ 2000 years ago, 43 million Christians have become martyrs. Over 50% of these were in the last century alone. More than 200 million Christians face persecution every day. 60% are children.
